Interior design, reno and decor palace in pedralbes

This small palace located in Pedralbes (Barcelona) became the new business office of a Russian technological company based in Barcelona.

The clients rented this building from the beginning of the 2000’s with the idea of converting it into a versatile workspace that would become the base of operation of the company, an exclusive space to receive the new customers.

The spaces were designed to work at ease and comfortably, with a close relationship with the garden and the pool … and why not … be able to work from a hammock or from the garden area under the trees. In the same way, you can present yourself to clients in a different and alternative way.

The work lasted a couple of months and was executed in several phases. We started by rehabilitating the main rooms located on the ground floor and after the move (with the team already working), all the other spaces on the ground floor, first floor and the garden with swimming pool were rehabilitated.

On the ground floor were located the entrance with the reception area, a meeting room, offices of the company board and relaxation room.

The existing style was outdated and did not adapt to the demands of the customers, therefore we decided to replace the dark floor with a more modern oak parquet, all the mink grey walls were painted combining this colour with a broken white for the mouldings and baseboards of all the rooms, thus giving the rooms an elegant, classic style with modern nuances.

We opted for this style, alternating classic furniture such as armchairs and sofas with more modern pieces of Italian design such as the table in the meeting room or the entrance hall both made by Cattelan Italy; the lamps in the meeting room are by Flos and those of the entrance by Studio Italia Design.

Some furniture was made to measure, as we often do in our studio of interior design, this allows us to design special pieces that adapt perfectly to the spaces. It is the case of the reception desk in lacquered wood with built-in led light and to complete the design we have chosen three lamps of the Catalan firm Bover that hang above this element.

This palace needed a change of style and with punctual and well defined actions we have brought the change of style that the client needed.
